چکیده

پاسخ به پرسش از معنای زندگی دغدغه بسیاری فیلسوفان و اندیشمندان بوده است. برخی همچون نیچه، شوپنهاور و سارتر معنایی برای زندگی قائل نبوده اند. ولی بسیاری دیگر سعی کرده اند به این پرسش پاسخهای متفاوتی بدهند و با استدلال نشان دهند دیدگاه آنها می تواند بهتر معنای زندگی را تبیین کند. در این مقاله در نظر است ابتدا، دیدگاههای عمده ای که در این زمینه مطرح شده است (همچون خدامحوری، روح محوری، طبیعت گرایی، ذهن گرایی و عینی گرایی) به همراه پشتوانه های استدلالی شان و همچنین نقدهایشان از دیدگاههای رقیب نشان داده شود. سپس با ارزیابی نقاط قوت و ضعف این دیدگاهها، نشان داده شود که یک نظریه فراگیر برای معنای زندگی چه ویژگی هایی را باید داشته باشد. در نهایت دیدگاه جامع و جدید نویسنده ارائه خواهد شد و دلایل ترجیح این دیدگاه بر دیدگاههای رقیب نشان داده خواهد شد.
